Lactation Bites with Protein and Almond Butter - No-Bake
Having ready-to-go snacks on hand that are healthy, clean and loaded with milk-boosting ingredients is exceptionally helpful when breastfeeding. We recommend sending this recipe to your partner to whip up for you - even novice bakers can handle this one!
1/2 cup Milk Drunk Vanilla Protein Powder
1 1/2 cups rolled oats
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
1 tablespoon chia seeds
1/2 cup almond butter (or any nut/seed butter)
3 tablespoons honey
1 teaspoon vanilla
3 tablespoons chocolate chips
2-4 tablespoons unsweetened almond milk
Add protein powder, oats, cinnamon and chia seeds to a large bowl.
Stir in almond butter, honey and vanilla extract, combine well. Add chocolate chips. Mixture should be slightly sticky but still crumbly.
Slowly add in almond milk one tablespoon at a time and using hands, combine until it comes together in a sticky ball that holds together.
If mixture is too dry, add in more liquid but not so much that it won’t hold shape. Roll into bite-sized balls using hands and place on a parchment-lined sheet. Mixture will make approximately 20 bites. Pop in fridge to set, ready to eat within minutes! Freeze in a sealed container or bag for up to three months.
Change up this recipe easily - add your favorite dried fruit (we especially love dried cranberries and mini chocolate chips!), different nut or seed butters or different varieties of chocolate.
