::Recipe: Chocolate-Almond Butter Lactation Protein Bites

Protein balls are one of our faves because they are so dang easy to make and pack so much into their small size! Of course, they're also freezer-friendly, which makes them super ideal for a healthy breastfeeding snack. Store a few at your breastfeeding station to munch on while baby eats! We used our Milk Drunk Chocolate protein powder for these, but you can totally sub in any of our flavors. Try amping up the chocolatey goodness with a tablespoon or two of cocoa powder too!

ingredients

2 scoops Milk Drunk Chocolate protein powder
1.5 cups rolled oats
1 cup smooth or crunchy almond butter
1/2 cup honey
splash of vanilla
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1 tbsp chia seeds
2 tbsp chocolate chips

directions

Stir together the oats, protein powder, cinnamon and cocoa powder (if adding) in a large bowl. Next stir in the almond butter, honey, chocolate chips, chia seeds and vanilla. Stir until smooth.

Line a plate or baking sheet with parchment, and roll balls to desired size. Our batch made about 25 good-sized bites. Place in fridge to firm up. Will keep in freezer for 3-6 months!
